Branding for a launch of a new restaurant

EAST, an upscale Asian cuisine restaurant near Ritz Carlton in Almaty. It belongs to one of the main restaurant holding companies in Kazakhstan. We’ve collaborated with Povilas Utovka & Ivan Markovic in designing a brand and stationery for a fine dining restaurant.

The main theme of the restaurant is a flowing river, central in many Eastern cultures. Architects chose natural shades and elements to create minimal yet not austere interior. Following the architectural style, we created elegant and subtle branding. We used distinctive paper texture and subtle marks of foil to resemble a flowing river.
